About Us

Westside is located in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) and was founded in 2004 by two professionals (one business and one medical) who had a passion for high performance audio and video. The business started as a “performance audio” venture, focused not exclusively on expensive gear, but rather systems that provided superior performance for the dollar and were true reflections of what customers really wanted and not simply the maximum they could afford. Before long, clients were requesting custom installation of systems in their homes. Deciding to pursue this opportunity on a larger scale, we were very quickly engaged in sophisticated residential and commercial projects well into the six-figure range.

Today Westside targets four markets:

• Quality residential custom integration projects: Such projects need not be large; we simply seek clients who appreciate a philosophy that ensures they get systems that are fairly priced and truly geared to their unique needs.

• High performance music and theatre systems: Truly high performance systems demands deep technical expertise, a good measure of “art”, and a passion for sound and movies. We have the technical expertise, experience, and enthusiasm to bring all these elements to our projects.

• Challenging commercial projects: There are a great number of “standard” commercial systems providers; we seek out commercial projects that require clever or innovative thinking such as public displays, quality sound, and new advertising approaches using electronics.

• Distribution: Westside is the North American Distributor for two exceptional lines of equipment; Karan Acoustics and Piega loudspeakers.
